Making no nest whatsoever and laying their large single egg onto bare rock, the Guillemot’s egg has a better chance than most of retaining its position.
This beautiful and varied egg, each one totally unique in its scrawled and scribbled markings, demonstrates the conical form to full effect. It cannot roll far in any direction and scribes a circle when set moving. This powder blue example displays small rusty red and black markings usually assigned to the blunt end.
This Guillemot egg is part of a set of 7 individual specimens which can be framed singularly or in a multi window mount.
