Single egg limited edition print Kittiwake
The Kittiwake’s nest is often positioned precariously on a rocky ledge or cliff face, high up above the sea and composed of seaweed and vegetation cemented together and lined with dry grass.
Usually two to three eggs are laid which have a deep buff ground colour overlaid and blotched and spotted with grey, purple and brownish markings. The patterning tends to be towards the blunt end and sometimes, as in this example, takes on a ringed appearance. A beautiful, subtle blend of beige and blue result in a stunning Gull’s egg.
This Kittiwake egg is part of a set of 7 individual specimens which can be framed singularly or in a multi window mount.
