Game Birds
This unique set of Britains gaming birds, demonstrates the diversity of egg background colours. Ranging from the pinks of the capercaillie to the olives and buffs of the pheasant and partridge families. When nesting on the ground amongst scrubland, thicket and beneath hedgerows camouflage is a must.
Game birds tend to lay large clutches of eggs to cater for the hazardous environment that the young are hatched into. A range of different mottled or blotched patterning or even plain shells, sit perfectly amongst their given backdrop.
The sheer beauty of adult game birds plumage is often overlooked as these large birds are never too far from their undergrowth havens.
Replica egg orders - due to an overwhelming demand, I am afraid I can NO LONGER take orders for Christmas 2011. The prints are fine and can be sent out right up til Christmas last post.
